Our Story

From a Backyard Obsession to Katy's Favorite Wing Spot

Wing Snob was born from one simple truth: most wings out there just aren't good enough. Our founder, Marcus Reid, spent years perfecting sauces, experimenting with heat levels, and sourcing the meatiest wings he could find — all from his Katy, TX backyard grill. What started as weekend cookouts for neighbors quickly turned into something bigger.

In 2017, Marcus opened the first Wing Snob location on N Fry Rd with a team of four. The concept was straightforward: exceptional wings, bold house-made sauces, and zero compromise on quality. Word spread fast. By the end of the first month, lines stretched out the door every Friday night.

2017

The First Location Opens

Marcus Reid opens Wing Snob at 3902 N Fry Rd, Katy, TX with 4 employees and 6 sauce flavors. Within weeks, the restaurant develops a loyal local following.

2018

Sauce Lab Launched

Wing Snob opens its dedicated sauce development kitchen — the "Sauce Lab" — where our culinary team invents and tests new flavors year-round, growing the lineup to 20+ sauces.

2019

Community Wing Nights Begin

We launch our monthly Community Wing Night, donating 10% of proceeds to local charities. The events sell out every time and become a beloved Katy tradition.

2020

Online Ordering & Delivery

Wing Snob launches its own online ordering platform and partners with delivery services, making our wings accessible to all of Katy and surrounding areas without compromise.

2022

Catering Program Expands
